Yes, we had to watch the craziness of the Video Music Awards!  Didn’t you?  Well, we always get excited about those over the top styles that can come from the red carpet arrivals, oops white carpet arrivals, of the VMAs.

Ultimately the most talked about look was the Francesco Scognamiglio Couture dress that the Queen Bee Beyonce wore.  Yes, it showed signs of greatness but it also made us wonder what else could they add to over power what could have been a gorgeous dress.  And maybe just a hint of another layer of fabric would not have hurt either.  But hey, it is Beyonce and what would you expect.

But our love of the night was the Final Five (minus one Gabby Douglas) showing us all that you can look red carpet or white carpet ready in both Sherri Hill and Hannah S.   Simone Biles looking so grown up and styled to perfection in her Sherri Hill 50531 coral dress that sparkled with each turn.  She complemented her look fabulously with the gold heels and accessories.  We simply loved her look.  But we can not leave out the cuteness and fun of Laurie Hernandez in Hannah S 27062.  The midnight blue dress and nude top hit her playful personality perfectly.  So yes, these girls get it!  Personality plus the dress equal the look that must be achieved to win the gold and we think they pretty well have winning figured out!

Of course, there were plenty of trends this year that gives you the ideas needed to carry out the ultimate arrival for your special event whether it be for prom, pageant, or formal.  So, for once don’t shy away from the fashion of the VMAs but take away a little piece of style you love and make it your own and you will own the night!
