Tis the Season for Fabulous Decor

The best time of the year is upon us and we are so excited! The holiday season is always filled with so much love, joy, and of course, beautiful decor. Decorating for Christmas is always such a sweet time for the family to bond and get in the spirit. There are so many different ways to be festive for the holidays, and that is what we love so much!Screenshot_8

Of course the Christmas tree is one of the main staples of holiday decor; while the color options are plentiful, we love a classic green tree! Real or artificial, it doesn’t matter! Putting up the tree means lots of fluffing the branches until it looks nice and full. Personally, this is my least favorite part but if you have an artificial tree, it is definitely a must! Once fluffed, the lights go on! You can always stick to the classic clear ones, or brighten up your tree with a mix between white and multi-colored. The two light colors  are the perfect pair! When it comes to ornaments, do you have a color scheme or does anything go? Around my house, anything goes! We all have an array of ornaments of our favorite things to really customize it to our family. Now stick the topper on and cover the feet with the skirt and wah-la! The tree is complete!

Tree decorating is probably one of the first things you do in terms of holiday decorating. Once the tree is up, what do you do next? Well, we say go for the garland! Garland is the perfect accent piece to add a festive feel to a space. It is perfect to line a mantle, the banister on stairs, and even doorways! Garland is such a versatile decorating piece that adds so much to the holiday look! If you are hosting a holiday meal, you could also use garland as a table runner. Use garland with some lights as well and/or add some festive bows! The possibilities are endless here!

A new trend we have been seeing is the use of pine cones to decorate for the holiday season. Putting a few pine cones in a jar or vase with some other small decorating pieces can make for a gorgeous, cozy look. For instance, you could put a few pine cones, a few holly leaves, and maybe some mistletoe in a vase and call it finished! Such an easy, yet so cute decoration! Another use for pine cones is to take a wider bowl or vase, place a candle in the center and then fill in the outsides with the pine cones. Candles are also a must when it comes to holiday decor. Candles can be used in so many ways with Christmas decorations. The candle light really adds a wintry, cozy vibe to your home. And, if you get the right candles, your house could be smelling like Christmas wonderland! Win, Win!

Holiday decorating is such a joyful time for families. It brings everyone together to work as a team which gets everyone in the holiday spirit. These few examples are just a guide to help you step up your decorations. Be sure to put your own spin on the classics to make it so sweet and special for you and your family! Happy Holiday Season!!Screenshot_13
